Application and admission
If you wish to study at MDH you need to apply through antagning.se
At antagning.se you will find information about applications for courses and study programmes, entry requirements, selection, important dates, documentation and other necessary information.
Log in to antagning.se
If you are already a student at MDH, you should use your student account to log in to antagning.se.
- Go to “Log in (or Create an account)” on the first page of antagning.se.
- In the scrollbar “Select university”, select “Mälardalen University”.
- Click the button “Continue to Login”
- Log in with your user name and password for your student account. You will then come straight back to antagning.se.
Late applications
For late applications, eligible applicants will be ranked according to the date the application was received. Late applicants are admitted subject to availability of places.
Reply to your admission decision
If you have been admitted or placed on a waiting list you must reply to the first admission decision to be able to save your place.
Entry requirements for applying for courses and programmes
To be able to be admitted to higher education you need to have certain prior knowledge, known as entry requirements.
If you need to postpone your studies
If you are unable to commence your studies at the time you have planned, you may apply for deferment of studies, in other words permission to postpone the start of your studies.
Admission for latter part of a programme
If you have commenced a programme but for some reason wish to change your place of study, you may submit an application for the latter part of a programme.

In the Admission Regulations, the rules for admission that MDH abides by are described.
Tuition fees for students outside the EU, EES and Switzerland
If you live in the EU/EES area or Switzerland it does not cost anything to study at a state HEI such as MDH. If on the other hand you are applying from another country you need to pay an application fee to have your application processed.
Admission from waiting list
If the number of applicants for a course or programme is greater than the number of places, the persons not admitted will be placed on a waiting list.
