Simon Crawford-Phillips has built a unique career as a pianist, conductor and creative programmer. At the centre of this lies his devotion to chamber music and the sharing of musical ideas - something he has previously explored while holding teaching posts at the Royal Academy of Music (London), Guildhall School of Music and Drama (London), Academy of Music and Drama (Gothenburg).

Since 2017 he has been the Chief Conductor of Västerås Sinfonietta in Sweden and in 2020/21 he was appointed Conductor Fellow of the NDR Elbphilharmonie. Guest conducting engagements have included the Swedish Radio Symphony, Helsingborg Symphony, Aalborg Symphony, Nordic Chamber, Polish Chamber and English Chamber orchestras and the Nash Ensemble.

As pianist in the Nash Ensemble, Kungsbacka Piano Trio and Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble he has performed worldwide and made over 30 recordings for BIS, DG, Hyperion, Naxos and Channel Classics.
