For those who are studying remotely at MDU or are studying at the Nyköping campus

If you are registered on a distance learning course at MDU or studying at the Nyköping campus, you have the same access to the University Library's services as on-campus students.

Delivery of books

  • If you don’t live in the Eskilstuna or Västerås municipalities we will send your books home to you that you have reserved with no fee.
  • To avail of this service you must be registered on a distance learning course at MDU or be a student at the Nyköping campus.
  • You don’t have to pay for return postage but will get a reply post label to use.
  • To get a book sent home, you will first need to request the book. When you receive a message that the book is available for collection, please send an email to biblioteket@mdu.se and ask to have the book sent home.

We don’t send home interlibrary loans; i.e. books we have loaned from another library. Then we will instead refer you to borrow books via the library at your place of residence.

You are responsible for the books until they are returned to the University Library, i.e. if the books are lost through the postal service, you may be liable to pay compensation.

You must return the book no later than the day the loan expires to avoid late fees.

Course literature in Nyköping

All course literature for the nursing program is available on site as reference copies. You can read the books on site, but they are not for loan. The books are in the room where the other course books can be found for higher education.

You have access to all the University Library’s e-books, databases and journals by using the Library’s search function Primo External link.. Please use your MDU account to log in.
