Check first in Primo that the Library doesn’t already own the material.

Please note that the Library does not order books when they’re temporarily out on loan.

If you lack a book or article that the University Library doesn’t have, you can borrow this from another library.

This is required for you to be able to borrow from other libraries

  • that you are a student at MDH or other university/university college, are employed at MDH, or are an external collaboration partner with a special agreement
  • that you are a registered patron at the Library
  • that the material you wish to borrow is not already in the Library’s selection
  • that your order is education- or research-related if you are a student or teacher at MDH
  • that your order is relevant to your essay and/or degree project if you are a student from another university or university college
  • that your order is relevant to your profession if you belong to the non-teaching staff at MDH

Collection

You will receive a message by email when your material is available for collection. Articles are sent home to your registered address if you are a student. MDH employees receive the articles through the internal post.

Lending period and borrowing rules

For borrowed material the lending Library’s rules will apply, for example if a book is not for a home loan or renewal of a loan. For compensating lost loans, the lending Library’s regulations will apply.

Costs

Borrowing articles costs money. The loan of books, reports and similar is, however, free of charge.

  • If you are a student who orders an article, you commit yourself to pay a cost. Payment is made online in the first instance, through your Library account.
  • For external collaboration partners external costs apply according to a special agreement with the University Library.
