Circular Economy in Environmental Engineering

The course addresses the concept of circular economy, its use and limitations in the field of environmental engineering, methods for the assessment of resource efficiency, sustainability and environmental impact and practical examples related to waste management.

About this course

Circular economy is a concept within sustainable development, where economy and ecology are not in competition. However, there are over 100 different definitions of circular economy, which make a systematic implementation difficult. Within this course you will learn about the benefits of circular economy in the context of environmental engineering and how to assess environmental impact of circular processes within waste management.
