The course addresses the concept of circular economy, its use and limitations in the field of environmental engineering, methods for the assessment of resource efficiency, sustainability and environmental impact and practical examples related to waste management.
About this course
Circular economy is a concept within sustainable development, where economy and ecology are not in competition. However, there are over 100 different definitions of circular economy, which make a systematic implementation difficult. Within this course you will learn about the benefits of circular economy in the context of environmental engineering and how to assess environmental impact of circular processes within waste management.
The course starts on the 9th of November 2020 and is run for 4 weeks (ca. 50% study pace). During that time lectures and other study material is available online which is required to pass a written assignment (group or individual) and a digital exam (multiple choice) as part of the examination of the course. In addition, are the results of the assignment shared and discussed in a discussion forum and in one mandatory webinar.
- 120 credits of which 90 credits engineering or natural science and 7,5 credits mathematics.
- In addition English course A/English course 6 is required.
You can also apply for the course and get your eligibility evaluated based on knowledge acquired in other ways, such as work experience, other studies etc.
