Reference panel and steering committee discuss layout of new campus in Eskilstuna
Mar 13, 2015 | On campus
To ensure that the employees’ needs in connection with the new campus in Eskilstuna are met, there is a reference panel consisting of MDH employees. At their latest meeting, the layout proposed by the architects from 3XN was discussed.
– Their views are important, since they represent the employees, says project manager Anna Gulyas.
The layout has also been shown to the project’s steering committee. In the coming weeks, Anna Gulyas and premises planner Katarina Rosenlind will meet more representatives from the Schools, the Administration, as well as the Library, to present to them the layout planned for their respective premises.
Few comments regarding the local development plan
Friday, 27 February, was the last day when the local development plan was exhibited at Eskilstuna City Hall and the University Libraries in both Eskilstuna and Västerås.
– On 17 March, we’ll have a meeting with Eskilstuna Municipality to discuss and jointly develop a plan and possibly identify necessary background data to respond to the few comments that have been submitted during the review period, says Anna Gulyas.
Architects to visit MDH
In order for the architects at 3XN to gain an increased understanding of how a university functions and carries out its activities, representatives from the architectural firm will come to MDH for a field trip. In order for them to see MDH’s most recent, large-scale building projects, the visit will be to the Västerås campus.
