More international students, both from within and outside the EU, apply for programmes at MDH, according to the latest application statistics. International Marketing is the programme with the biggest increase since the introduction of tuition fees five years ago, and the number of applicants for the Sustainable Energy Systems programme has nearly doubled compared to last year.

The total increase in the number of applicants to our second-cycle (Master’s) programmes is 51 percent compared to 2015. In terms of ‘first choice’ applicants, the increase is 46 percent. The International Marketing programme on the Master’s level stands out, having as many as 154 percent more ‘first choice’ applicants this year.

The programmes on the first-cycle (Bachelor’s) level, Analytical Finance and International Business Management, also enjoy an increase in the number of international ‘first choice’ applicants: 32 percent this year. Analytical Finance shows the biggest increase on the first-cycle level, with 43 percent more applicants choosing that programme as their first priority this year.

– MDH strives to be an international environment so these numbers are exciting. Studying abroad or in a multicultural environment at home provides the students not only with new experiences and new knowledge but also increases their employability, says Paul Pettersson, Acting Vice-Chancellor.

All programmes and courses are still open for late applications via, and students from within the EU/EEA also have the possibility to apply via the national application channels.
