Four new professors at IDT

The School of Innovation, Design and Engineering (IDT) at Mälardalen University is further strengthening its research skills by employing four new professors.
The four new professors are Gerald Midgley, James K Hazy, Per Kristensson and Kristina Forsberg. The first three of these will be working in the group of Innovation Management in Eskilstuna and Kristina Forsberg will be working in the group of Intelligent Future Technologies in Västerås.
Gerald Midgley is Professor of System Thinking at the Business School of Hull University in Great Britain. He recently started working as Visiting Professor of Innovation Technology, specialising in Systematic Innovation Management. His post at IDT covers five per cent, running over a three-year period.
James K Hazy is a professor at Adelphi University in New York. He will start working at IDT in September as Visiting Professor of Innovation Technology, specialising in Complex Organisations and Innovation Management of Complex Systems, at 50 per cent during a two-year period.
Per Kristensson will also start working at IDT in September. Per Kristensson is Professor of Psychology, with a particular specialisation in Consumer Psychology, at Karlstad University. He will start working as Visiting Professor of Innovation Technology, specialising in Service Innovation. During the next three years, with a scope of five per cent, he will give a strategically important contribution to the environment within the research domain of Innovation and Product Realisation.
Kristina Forsberg will start working in September, as Adjunct Professor in Computer Science, specialising in Avionics Systems, for three years at a scope of ten per cent. She is a Systems Engineer/Technical Expert at SAAB AB, Electronic Defence Systems.
