External review – an important part of our work for a sustainable work environment

As a consequence of MDH being environmentally and work-environmentally certified, there will be an external review of the University’s efforts and achievements regarding a sustainable work environment between 10 and 15 March.
In 1999, MDH was the first university in the world to be environmentally certified, and in 2006, it was the first higher education institution in Sweden to be certified for its work environment.
– Being certified is a way to show that MDH is taking environmental and work-environmental issues seriously and that we live up to all laws and requirements. We can be proud of our certifications, says Rebecka Malmgren, Health, Safety and Environment Coordinator.
The certifications entail that, once a year, an external review of the University’s work with these issues takes place in both campus cities. Between 10 and 15 March it is time again.
– Thanks to the external review, we get help with identifying shortcomings in our work with a sustainable work environment. It spurs us to continue working for an even better work environment, says Rebecka Malmgren.
