Mälardalen University has over 125 exchange agreements with universities around the world. To attend Mälardalen University as an exchange student, there must be a formal exchange agreement with your home university.

Located in the heart of Sweden

Mälardalen University (MDU) is a medium-sized university in the very heart of Sweden. The university has two campuses: one in the city of Västerås, located on the north side of lake Mälaren and the other one in Eskilstuna, on the south side of the lake. The campuses are about 35 minutes apart by a free bus line offered by the university. Both cities are situated about 100 kilometres west of Stockholm.

Do you wish you had signed up for two semesters instead of just one? For an exchange student who is here at MDU for a one semester exchange it may be possible to extend the period of exchange to two semesters.
