Completion Ceremony at MDH

The Completion Ceremony is the University’s expression of thanks to you for your period of study. As a student reading in your final semester you are invited. You may take part even if you still have complementary work to do in your studies and regardless of whether you have read a programme or corresponding freestanding courses.

The Completion Ceremony is arranged after every autumn and spring semester for you who are reading in your final semester at MDH. You attend the Ceremony which is appropriate to your School and study programme. At the Ceremony Vice-Chancellor Paul Pettersson and the appropriate Dean of School will give speeches. Students from the Chamber Music programme will perform and there will be speeches given by MDH alumni.

On this day you are cordially invited to celebrate with your relatives and you may invite up to three named guests. After the ceremony you will be treated to coffee with gluten-free and lactose-free cake. In case of other dietary preferences, fruit will be served.

Please note that the Completion Ceremony is voluntary and that no formal documents are handed out in connection with the Ceremony. Every student must themselves apply for a degree certificate on completion of their studies.
