Didactics

Didactics encompasses questions of education, teaching and learning which in particular have significance for the areas of activity of preschool, school, adult education and teacher education, based on the following focus: the point of intersection between a specific subject area in preschool, school and adult education, its research basis as well as learning and teaching within this area; the various needs, experiences and conditions for life of children, youths and adults as prerequisites for learning and development; steering, leadership, the teaching profession and school development in preschool, school, adult education and teacher education.

Research in didactics has points in common with research in education and special needs education, which enables synergy effects in research findings, thereby broadening the understanding of the research domain of didactics.
