About me – Milan Zlatkovikj

I am a PhD student within the SOFIA (Simulation and Optimization for Future Industrial Applications) group within the Future Energy Center at Mälardalen University, Sweden. My work within the DYNOP project focuses on creating an advanced control framework for biomass power plants. The work is done in collaboration with industrial partners involved in this project.

Background

I hold double MSc degrees from the Clean Fossil and Alternative Fuels Energy program, certified by EIT. I graduated from Instituto Superior Tecnico, Lisbon Portugal, with Academic Excellence in the MSc program in Energy Engineering and Management, and I obtained the MSc degree in Power Engineering from Silesian University of Technology, Gliwice Poland. My BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering was obtained from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Skopje, Macedonia. Before starting my PhD work, I had placements in industry and several projects on energy innovation and entrepreneurship.
