Developing and stimulating being a Vice-Chancellor

Paul Pettersson is Mälardalen University’s Vice-Chancellor. From this position, he is leading the University’s operations.

Paul Pettersson took up his duties as Pro-Vice-Chancellor at MDH on 1 September 2012, and as Acting Vice-Chancellor at MDH February 2016. He is also Professor of Real-time Systems, with specialisation in Modelling and Verification, at the School of Innovation, Design and Engineering at MDH. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Uppsala University and took his Doctor’s degree in Computer Engineering at the same university in 1999. He was admitted as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Uppsala University in 2006, and in the same year he became Professor at MDH.

During his time at MDH Paul has established two research groups and for several years he was Head of the Division of Embedded Systems.
