Studying with disabilities
MDH offers various types of support and help so that students with disabilities will be able to study at the University on equal terms as others.
here is special educational support for you who have a permanent disability such as dyslexia, ADHD or chronic diseases that affect your studies. This support is designed based on your needs and may for example consist of help with taking notes, extra time in written exams, a mentor, or recorded course literature.
Apply for support
For you to be able to make use of the support offered you need to produce a medical examination report or diagnosis carried out by a specialist in your particular disability. If you don’t have a medical examination report you can contact 1177 to get more information on what to do to obtain one.
You also need to make a digital application in the Nais system. There you can upload certificates about your disability from for example a doctor, psychologist or speech therapist. After this you will be invited to a meeting with a coordinator to discuss your need of support. If you’re unable to send in a digital application you may contact the coordinator.
