FUSION (Featured eUrope and South asIa mObility Network)
FUSION (Featured eUrope and South asIa mObility Network) is a European Commission-funded Erasmus Mundus project, coordinated by Bournemouth University, UK. The project partners are 9 European universities and 11 universities in Asia.
Mälardalen University is the Swedish node in FUSION coordinated by the research environment MAM Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, and MAM scientific director Professor Sergei Silvestrov's MDH is node coordinator. FUSION project aims to foster partnerships of emerging Asian countries (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, China, India, and Thailand) with European countries (Bulgaria, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Portugal, Sweden, and UK) to reinforce the existing collaborations developed through the previous EU funded projects. The key objective of the consortium is to enhance the capacity for international cooperation by facilitating transfer of people, know-how, culture and best practice in training the next generation of researchers and academic staff.

FUSION projekt syftar till att främja partnerskap av asiatiska länder (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan, Kina, Indien och Thailand) med europeiska länder (Bulgarien, Frankrike, Tyskland, Ungern, Italien, Portugal, Sverige och Storbritannien) och att förstärka de befintliga samarbeten utvecklats genom de tidigare EU-finansierade projekten. Huvudsyftet med konsortiet är att öka kapaciteten för internationellt samarbete genom att underlätta utbytte av människor, know-how, kultur och bästa praxis att utbilda nästa generation av forskare och lärare.
