You will learn basic terminology and theory while gaining insight and understanding of the fourth industrial revolution and how it affects us.
The MOOC: Introduction to Industry 4.0 is part of MDU's investment in smart production. The course is divided into ten modules, each of which describes different technologies in Industry 4.0. We estimate that it will take about 40 hours to complete the course and it is in English.
The modules are:

- Additive manufacturing
- Advanced robotics
- Augmented and Virtual reality
- Big data analytics
- Cloud computing
- Cyber security
- Internet of things
- Simulation
- System integration

If you pass the final exam in the MOOC and have at least two years of relevant professional experience, you are eligible for the above credit-bearing courses. Please note that you are not guaranteed a place in these University courses as the number of places are limited. Passing the MOOC does not entitle you to apply for any other University courses.
