Ambient air pollution kills more than 4,2 million people every year. Growing populations, increased urbanization, and improved living conditions are important factors that contribute to increased air pollution.

About this course

In this course, you will learn about common air pollutants and how to manage and control air pollution. The course gives you enhanced knowledge about relevant aspects of modern air quality management systems based on regulations and policies related to ambient air quality management in the EU and Sweden. After completing this course, you will be able to contribute to the development and management of air quality management systems. The course benefits scientific officers at various levels in both public and private sector, environmental engineers and consultants in fields like air quality investigations, environmental impact assessments, permits and certification, and regulation.

The course is given over four weeks in a pace of 50%, corresponding to approximately 20 hours of studies per week. The course starts 8 November and ends 3 December 2021.

Entry requirements

120 credits of which 90 credits engineering and/or natural science. In English course B/English course 6 are required.

The course require that you have previous academies studies, but we validate work experience to assess if you have the knowledge that is equal to the eligibility requirements for the course.
