This foundation module on Cyber Security is intended to provide the reference taxonomy, conceptual models, issues and methods that are essential for a deeper understanding of technology, as well as of more specialised approaches and solutions. Basic concepts, definitions and taxonomy of dependable and secure computing (threat, vulnerability, risk, data integrity and availability, fault-tolerance) will be covered. Hands on experiences will be included for a better understanding of potential and challenges.   
The contents will reflect the latest research topics as well as industrial practices. Guest lectures by industrial experts will be the highlight of this course.

Cybersäkerhetssårbarheter är ett hot mot framsteg inom näringsliv och samhället. Detta är ett accelererande hot på grund av den nuvarande snabba digitaliseringen, som inom tillverkningsindustrin benämns Industri 4.0. Företagen är medvetna om detta hot och inser behovet av att investera i motåtgärder, men utvecklingen hämmas av bristande kompetens.

I denna kurs kommer studenterna att göras medvetna om cybersäkerhetsforskningens senaste landvinningar och ledande industriell praxis.

 

Särskild behörighet

120 hp varav 60 hp i datavetenskap eller relaterade ämnen. Dessutom krävs Engelska A/Engelska 6.

    Specific requirements

    120 credits, of which 60 credits in computer science or related subjects. In addition, Swedish B / Swedish 3 and English A / English 6 are required. In cases where the course is given in English, exceptions are made from Swedish B / Swedish 3.
