The course Industrial Systems is an introduction course with the aim of giving an overview of different types of industrial systems and its applications with the production system in focus. The course introduces the systems perspective and system development and gives a basic understanding of how industrial systems are designed and developed by understanding the underlying processes, goals and strategies. The course also addresses the structure of industrial companies and their business models, especially how a profit-making company is built from vision to business model and structurally from owner to employee.
