Sustainability Days 2021
- MDU Students, agents of a sustainable world
For the first time, Mälardalen University will arrange two cross-disciplinary and cross-academic days, where activism, the arts and academia meet. No matter what you study, don’t miss this event!
After your studies you will work in a world that places high demands in terms of new skills and abilities. You need to be able to tackle the complexity of contemporary society where ecological, social, ethical and economic issues interplay and often compete.
- The Sustainability Days will hopefully inspire you to develop your curiosity, critical thinking and creativity necessary to navigate that complexity and be an actor of a sustainable transition, says Silva Bruzzone, senior lecturer and project leader at MDH.
9-10th November - about the days
The Sustainability Days will be held online and consist of three parts.
Part 1: 09.00 - 12.00
How can you as a student use your knowledge to contribute to sustainable future? In this first part we have invited national and international speakers to show us how architecture, illustrations, plans of actions and projects can be used to deal with contemporary issues. No matter what you are studying, let yourself be inspired by the methods the speakers use to contribute to a more sustainable future.
This part will be live stream and is open for everyone (students of all years, MDU employees and external guests).
Part 2: 13.15 - 14.00
This is an interactive part, and it takes place via zoom, only first year students. More information about this part is coming.
Part 3: 14.00 - 15.00
the day continues with a program which is specific for your school and educational program.
