Intensive work at MDH with planning the return to campus

Studenter sitter i en trapp och pratar.

On 1 June the government removes the requirement to conduct adult education on distance. MDH now plans for a safe return to on-campus teaching. We are currently working to address the questions of exactly when during the autumn semester we can return to campus, at what pace and in what manner.

The return to campus will be done based on the recommendations from the Public Health Agency and the regional infection control doctors. For example, MDH needs to take into consideration the distance we need to keep between each other and the maximum group size in our facilities. The decision regarding primarily conducting online education is valid until an assessment of how the removed requirement affects the education during autumn.

Consider the possibility of having to move at short notice

If you don’t live in the proximity of Eskilstuna or Västerås today, you should plan for MDH making a transition to campus-based education. Therefore, consider the possibility of having to move at short notice, or that you may need to move for the start of the semester.

MDH will continue to stay up to date with the situation

That the Public Health Authority and the government of Sweden expects that it will be possible to return to a regular situation again, is a sign that the spread of infection will have drastically decreased in society by the autumn. MDH will of course continue to follow the authorities’ recommendations so that the spread of infection does not increase again.
