Mathematics and Applied Mathematics education and research environment at the School of Education, Culture and Communication at Mälardalen University develop co-production primarily within two strategic directions in education and research

Engineering Mathematics with applications

Mathematical Statistics and Financial Mathematics with applications

Within research education and research in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics collaboration and collaboration with industry, research institutes and with other universities in Sweden and international and interdisciplinary collaboration and co-production belong among the highest priorities and are part of Mathematics and Applied Mathematics Vision for 2016-2022 both in research and education.
Within education in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, active collaboration with companies, surrounding society, other universities, research institutes and research laboratories is developed within the framework of
degree thesis projects, courses and programs in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at the Bachelor's, and Master's levels
