Cross-Cultural Management, 7,5 credits
The purpose of this course is to study the relationship between culture, business and management by analysing different companies’ culture with the help of case studies.
During the course the student will go through online lectures, which will provide a base for understanding different concepts and comparison of different cultural theories. The students will also have discussions online and individually analyse concepts connected to different views on culture. The practical implications in the course means that the student will carry out five (5) individual tasks (four short case study analyses and one multiple-choice online exam).
The knowledge and skills you gain from this course will help you in your future studies in marketing and management. In a future profession within the field of business you will be able to use and apply tools from the course in order to understand, present and analyse different cultural situations that can occur in a business situation.
Special eligibility
30 credits in Business Administration on level G1N where at least 22.5 credits must be finished when the course starts and English equivalent to a TOEFL test result of at least 575 with TWE score 4.5 (PBT), 213 with Essay Rating 4 (CBT) or 90 with TWE score 20 (iBT) or an IELTS test score for academic purposes with an overall band score of 6.5 and no band score below 5.5.
