Checklist for new students

These are the first steps you need to take as a new student at MDH.

1. Get a student account

When you have been admitted and replied to your programme/course you need a student account in order to be able to log into computers, access course material, get into your e-mail and use other IT resources. You will be able to get your student account starting August 14.

2. Register

You must register on the courses and programmes that you will take. The registration period for starts 1 week before course start.

3. Order your MDH card

The MDH card is a personal card that all students get. You use it for printing, entering computer rooms, getting books from the library, and other things. It also serves as a ticket for the free buses between the Eskilstuna campus and the Västerås campus.

Note! It can take up to 6 hours after you have made a registration before you can order your MDH card.

 

4. Introduction days for new programme students

If you are a national student studying an international programme and want to get information in English you can attend  the international introduction day

 

5. Attend the roll call

Attending the roll call to courses and programmes is compulsory. If you are sick or have another reason to be absent, you must notify the university before the mandatory roll call. If you are going to take part in a study programme, you notify the MDH Admissions Office , and if you are going to take courses, you notify the Student Centre .
