Practical information

The programme for the week is of course important, but so are the practical details around accommodation, meals and coffee/tea breaks. We have gathered this info for you, and we trust that it will be helpful.

We have reserved a number of rooms to a negotiated rate in some three hotels in Västerås, all of them located in the city centre on convenient walking distance from the university.

Elite Stadshotellet

30-40 Guest rooms at 1290 SEK/night/person

Best Western Hotel Esplanade

4 Business rooms at 1575 SEK per night/person

4 Family rooms at 1795 SEK per night/person

Best Western Plus Plaza

Guest rooms (single) at 1400 SEK/night/person

Breakfast and taxes included in all prices above.

Please note that you will need to book a room yourself with the respective hotel. When making your hotel booking, please state the code MDH2018 in order to take advantage of the special rate. Please call or email the hotel to make your booking.
There are of course other hotels in the area too, should you have other preferences.

Meals and snacks

We'll make sure that you don't need to walk around with an empty stomach during your visit to the International Week 2018. You will quickly experience the traditional Swedish "fika", with its coffee or tea and sandwich (typically in the morning) or pastry (typically in the afternoon). Apart from that there will be complimentary lunches during the four days 22-25 May.

The reception mingle at Västerås Castle will offer a complimentary snack buffet with drinks included. Complimentary is also the dinner at Sundbyholm Castle.

Please note that each participant is responsible for own travel and hotel costs, as well as food and drinks different than or outside of the provided programme.
