Mälarenergi (Mälar Energy)
MDH have together with Mälarenergi, Vafab Miljö (Vafab Environment) and Eskilstuna Energi och Miljö (Eskilstuna Energy and Environment) expanded their strategic collaboration with an agreement that includes research, education, provision of competence and areas of development.
In June 2014, MDH and Mälarenergi signed a strategic collaboration agreement with the purpose of creating tools and solutions in the areas of energy, building and environmental engineering. Vafab Miljö and Eskilstuna Energi och Miljö are also involved in this cooperation.
The agreement mainly concerns the cooperation in the university’s line of research in the Future Energy Centre and enables the students to carry out degree projects and receive work placement.
Future Energy Centre is divided into three main areas:
- Renewable energy with a focus on biomass conversion and solar energy.
- Energy optimisation in the processing industry/power stations and buildings.
- Simulation and modelling to develop methods for process optimisation and management towards area 1 and 2.
