New e-mail system for the students at Mälardalen University

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Mälardalen University will introduce a new e-mail system for the students. Live @ edu gives the students new opportunities for good communication and cooperation.

In the new e-mail system, the students will have access to a calendar and an address book with all the email addresses to the students at the University. The new system can handle a much larger amount of information. The inbox today can handle 300 MB. In the new system it will be able to handle about 10Gb.

The students will keep their old email address and in the new system they can easily set up so that their university email is sent to a private e-mail address.

- The University often use the students university based email as an information channel to reach all students, therefore it is good that the new system can easily send e-mail to students' private e-mail addresses, said Christer Karlsson of the University's IT division.

The introduction of the new e-mail system is on Wednesday at 12.00.
