“The aim of the library is to support professionally the university in maintaining a supreme international level of quality in the fields of education and research. The library offers various information resources, and librarians are daily supporting students in information retrieval and evaluation in order to, in collaboration with academies and other units, fulfill statements declared in the Higher Education Act and the Bologna Declaration.

In the ambition of promoting and supporting the student’s learning process the teacher plays a considerable role, and one of the main commitments of the library is to develop pedagogical competence and career among teachers. One of the library’s units, Pedagogy, ICT and Learning, offers various courses, workshops and training in this area.

Furthermore, the library will examine the emerging needs of our researchers. One of future issues that we are looking at is bibliometric support.

We invite students and university staff to enjoy the library as a meeting place, a comfortable working place and, last but not least, a pedagogical resource!”
