Flexible Production Systems, Leax Industrial System (LIS)
Objectives
The current study will explore the best trade-offs concerning flexibility (variant and volume) in different levels of a manufacturing company as a tool for staying competitive considering the life-cycle of a production system. At the same time a model of management for industrial SMEs will be developed.
Current status
The project has been started since October 2012 and currently literature study has been done and interviews are planned to build a fundamental knowledge in the area. Besides, a project team composed of 8 people from the company has been formed in parallel.
Planned activities
Assigning the related tasks to the project team members.
Build the fundamental definition which is used at the same time for marketing.
Develop the modules in connection to the studies.
