  • ESS-H develops health technology

The research profile Embedded Sensor for Health (ESS-H) started in early 2013 to develop health technology.

  • ESS-H prevents accidents

The research profile ESS-H aims to prevent accidents and detect deterioration of health status at an early stage.

  • New technologies in the ESS-H

The profile ESS-H uses new technologies for monitoring, diagnosis and treatment remotely, and increases the possibility for patients to stay at home despite medical conditions that require monitoring.

  • ESS-H's collaboration partners

Within ESS-H, researchers at MDH collaborate with nine partner companies and several organizations from the public sector.

Embedded sensor systems for health

The research profile, Embedded sensor systems for health (ESS-H), started in the beginning of 2013 and will develop health technology.

In MDH's new research profile Embedded Sensor Systems for Health (ESS-H),researchers together with nine companies and several public sector organizations will develop sensor systems that promote health. The sensor systems should monitor and track the health status of the elderly in a home environment, but also allow monitoring of drivers and machine operators and thereby providing them a safer work environment.

ESS-H is a six-year research profile at Mälardalen University starting in 2013. In total the Knowledge Foundation, MDH, the partner companies invest 84 million SEK with the aim that the Mälardalen region should become a nationally leading and an internationally competitive research environment within embedded sensor systems for health, including more than 50 researchers.
