About me - Anne Söderlund

I took my physiotherapist exam in Finland 1978. As a physiotherapist I have mostly worked with rehabilitation of patients with long-term pain.

2001 I concluded my PhD at Uppsala University, Sweden with a thesis about physiotherapy management of acute and long-term whiplash associated disorders (WAD) and bio-psycho-social predictors for long-term outcome.
Couple of years before coming to Mälardalen University I worked at the Department of Neurosciences, Section of Physiotherapy, Uppsala University as a senior lecturer with teaching and research. The position also included clinical work as a physiotherapist at Akademiska Hospital, Uppsala.

I came to Mälardalen University, School of Health, Care and Welfare in the beginning of 2009 and started my work at a professor in physiotherapy.
