About me - Elisabet Häggtröm-Nordin
I worked as a midwife with antenatal care, parental education, deliveries, and postnatal care for more than ten years. After that, I became a teacher and worked with high school education for a couple of years, before I got back to midwifery, though this time at a youth clinic. For some years, I was at the Swedish Association of Nursing as a study secretary and also worked as a research assistant at the Centre of Clinical Research at the Central Hospital in Västerås.
Since 2001, I am a senior lecturer at Mälardalen University. I am mainly working with midwifery education, but also involved in different courses related to sexuality and relationships. In 2011 I became an associated professor.
Together with Åke Lennander, I am the contact person for equity and equality at the School of health, care and social welfare, Mälardalen university.
My research lies in the field of Adolescence, sexual and reproductive health.
