Faculty Board and Subcommittees
The Faculty Board has overall responsibility for education and research at Mälardalen University. This includes handling matters of strategy and planning as well as follow-up and quality assurance.
The head of the board is the Dean, with support from two Pro-Deans - one with responsibility for first- and second-cycle programmes, and one with responsibility for third-cycle programmes and research.
The mandate period of the current Faculty Board is 1 January 2011 - 31 December 2013. The Faculty Board takes decisions regarding for example which study programmes to offer or establishing a new subject area or degree.
The Faculty Board has six subcommittees, handling matters for the Board, as well as taking certain decisions with delegation from the Board.
The Division for Education and Research Administration gives administrative support to the Faculty Board and its subcommittees.
