The administration has a coordinating responsibility for preparing matters for decision by the university board, Vice-Chancellor and the faculty board.

The administration works in close collaboration with the schools and other organizational units at the university, this to ensure a needs-oriented aid, combined with the demands from other Government authorities.

The administration employs some 130 people.
