Campus Västerås
The Campus in Västerås is only fifteen minutes’ walk from the Central Station, right between the city’s active life and leisure pursuits. On the one side are the old town and the centre with a large selection of arcades, cafés, restaurants and other amusements. Just a stone’s throw in the other direction there is the Rocklunda Sports Centre, with several arenas and sports pitches.
The entire campus is specially built for Mälardalen University, and is characterised by its high ceilings, its light, its large glass surfaces and a lot of meeting places where the students can socialise. In close proximity to the campus there is also student accommodation.
On the campus there are for example:

- The University Library, whose building has won an architecture prize
- Group rooms, teaching rooms and the large halls Aula Alfa and Aula Omega
- Restaurant and café
- Student Health Care
- The Student Union building, with its own restaurant and pub
