Mälardalen University’s central website is built according to web standards. This means that XHTML 1.0 Strict is used to structure the contents, and that style sheets (CSS, Cascading Style Sheets) are used to steer how the contents are presented.
As far as possible the website follows the recommendations in the Swedish National Guidelines for Public Sector Websites.
Recommended web browsers
The website is adapted to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox’s later versions, Safari and Internet Explorer 8.0 or later versions. It will also work with older/other web browsers, but deviations in design and functions may occur.
Mdh.se use "responsive web design", which means that the site adapts to the visitor's screen size. There are three variants, computer screen, tablet and mobile.
A higher resolution renders the text and pictures smaller, which means that you can read larger amounts of text without using the scrollbar. Here’s what you do to change the resolution on your computer: Select Control Panel (under Start/Settings) and click on Screen. Select the Settings tab and at Desktop Size select for example 1280 x 1024.
