Baran Çürüklü, Senior lecturer

Baran Çürüklü has received his PhD from Mälardalen University (MDH) in April 2005. His main research interest is information processing in neocortex (computational neuroscience). The reasearch conducted under this theme has its focus on population dynamics and different coding mechanisms used by neurons in the primary visual cortex (V1, Broadmann's area 17). He is also interested in now models developed for explaining mammalian cortex behaves in artifacts, especially robots. Interaction between humans and their non-organic counterparts, robots that is, is also in the focal point of his research.
