About me – Hailong Li
I am a Senior Lecturer and Associate Professor in the department of energy engineering and Future Energy Centre. I got my PhD degree in 2008 at the Division of Energy Processes, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Sweden. Before I started working at MDH in 2010, I had worked as a research scientist in SINTEF Energy Research, the biggest research institute in Norway.
My research interests mainly lie in the mitigation of the climate change and the efficient conversion and utilization of energy, which are in line with the research profile of ‘Future Energy Center’. The research work covers the following areas:
- Modeling and simulation of energy conversion processes, with special focuses on biomass, biogas and PV.
- Smart energy grid, smart metering and energy pricing.
- Thermodynamic properties of fluids.
- Technologies of CO2 Capture and Storage (CCS).
Currently, I am serving as the Assistant Editor of Applied Energy (Impact factor: 5.261). I have been organizing the International Conference on Applied Energy (ICAE) since 2012.
