In both Västerås and Eskilstuna there are plenty of ways to enjoy yourself. There are cafés, concert halls, theatres, rock clubs, pubs, an amusement park and zoo, several museums and around the student cities there are lots of fine and interesting sights to see. Therefore there are many ways for students to get away from their studies for a while.

In Eskilstuna there are some twenty cafés and around fifteen pubs and clubs, something which makes Eskilstuna one of the country’s cities having the most pubs. In Västerås too there is a large variety of places to meet: there are clubs and bars with different styles and tastes – from Swedish hit songs to New York beats. Both Västerås and Eskilstuna are music cities.

Västerås has received the “Music City of the Year” award and Eskilstuna has been both the “Pop City of the Year” and the “Jazz City of the Year”.
